Boaters traveling the Intracoastal Waterway may dock at Hague Marina (Myrtle Beach, 843/293-2141), Harbor Gate (North Myrtle Beach, 843/249-8888), and Marlin Quay (Murrells Inlet, 843/651-4444).


By Car
Midway between New York and Miami, the Grand Strand can be reached from all directions via Interstates 20, 26, 40, 77, 85, and 95, which connect by other routes to U.S. 17, the major north-south coastal route through the Strand. Once in town, you can rent a car if necessary. Travelnow  is a good source for inexpensive  advance reservations.

The Myrtle Beach International Airport (1100 Jetport Rd., 843/448-1589) is served by US Airways, Air Canada, American Eagle, Comair, Delta, G.P. Express, Jet Xpress, Midway, and Spirit.


By Bus
Greyhound Bus Lines (800/231-2222) serves Myrtle Beach.


By Train
Amtrak (800/872-7245) service for the Grand Strand is available through a terminal in Florence. Buses connect with Amtrak there for the 65-mi drive to Myrtle Beach.
